Transforming a Dumbo, Brooklyn Restaurant with Custom Live Edge Table Tops and Walnut Woodwork

Our recent project in Dumbo, Brooklyn involved designing and installing custom walnut table tops and live edge tables to enhance the aesthetic of a restaurant’s main floor lounge and upstairs private bar.

Main Floor Lounge: Custom Walnut Table Tops

In the main floor lounge, we equipped the space with walnut table tops finished in a rich smoked oak color. We created both rectangular table tops and custom unique shaped table tops, allowing for flexible and dynamic furniture arrangements. Each table featured a Roman ogee routing on the underside, giving the edges a refined, elegant profile that matched the upscale lounge environment.

These custom table tops were designed to handle high traffic while maintaining their sophisticated appearance, making them the perfect solution for restaurant tables in NYC.

Upstairs Private Bar: Live Edge Tables and Custom Bar Tables

The upstairs private bar area called for a more industrial, modern look. To meet this challenge, we installed two 8-foot live edge tables on industrial-style raise-and-lower bases, adding versatility for seating arrangements and events. The live edge table tops featured natural, organic edges that added warmth and contrast to the industrial design elements of the bar.

Additionally, we provided custom half-moon stand-up tables mounted on heavy-duty beam bases. These stand-up tables were finished in a black walnut color, offering a sleek, modern aesthetic that complemented the overall design.

Custom Woodwork Designed for Impact

Throughout this project, our focus was on creating custom woodwork that aligned with the interior design vision while adding functional beauty to the space. The smoked oak walnut table tops with Roman ogee detailing brought a touch of elegance to the lounge, while the live edge wood tables and half-moon bar tables gave the upstairs bar a striking, modern feel.
